Reptiles
One of the most iconic animals in North Queensland is the saltwater crocodile, which can be spotted basking on banks or hidden in the water, leaving only its eyes and nostrils visible. Our expert guides are skilled at spotting these elusive reptiles.

Birds
North Queensland is home to an incredible variety of birdlife, with over 300 species calling the region home. Among the most vibrant and colourful are the Red-winged Parrots and Rainbow Lorikeets. The large, noisy Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and the majestic Black Cockatoos are also abundant in the area.

Sealife
Mangrove habitat, sea grass areas, supports an explosion of life from the miniscule plankton to the large herbivores such as Dugong and Sea Turtle. It is not a coincidence that these become a food source for Estuarine crocodiles and large predators such as tiger sharks
